btw pretty proud I got a tweet on there
Warmack would be the best player at 10.
Normally the rookie plays a different position. Stewart is 30 years old, coming off a broken leg and want him to give up his position to a rookie?
I think the idea that many here have is that Stewart has lost the quickness needed to play tackle and moving him to guard would upgrade 2 positions.
I've never heard of the Titans actually mentioning this, though...
Undersized one gap. Makes plays and is disruptive but who's gonna run stop?
quotes from WalterFootball:
Richardson is utterly relentless. The guy gives 100 percent on every play and never takes snaps off. There were plays last season when he was getting in on tackles on wide receivers 20 yards past the line of scrimmage. Richardson doesn't quit until the whistle is silenced. No defender in the 2013 NFL Draft hustles as much as him. It is truly impressive. Compares to JJ Watt.
Richardson is very fast and has a great motor. Those combine to make him a great run-defender in pursuit. He often caused havoc and blew up runs by firing into the backfield. If Richardson adds more strength to improve when runs come straight at him, he could be one of the better defensive line run defenders in the NFL.
Where's CJ's video of him benching?
Oh that's right, little punk takes vacations and months of.
Keep the CJ hate in one of the many CJ hate threads
How impactful can a player be at a position that we already have a lot of good players at? No very. If you really want impactful, then you upgrade the positions that you have holes at. I think the idea of just taking BPA is dumb.
And like others have said, he just isn't the type of DT we need. If we can pair Casey/Martin with a big space eating DT, then you will see their production go way up. They will be more than able to get after the QBs if a big DT frees them up a little.
Plus, one of the biggest weaknesses of our D was allowing teams to run up the middle at will. We have got to stop that. If we can stop the run up the middle, then the rest of our D should improve too.
A big DT should also let keep the LBs clean, giving them more oppurtunites to make plays.
If you get a big space eating DT, then you are really upgrading several positions on the D. That is much more impactful than upgrading 1 position (that isn't that big of a need anyway)
