  1. lol wtf?? Dude, have you noticed after you get through typing your little posts like you have so much knowledge, that the NFL is still a business. and teams are into it to make money. If a player makes them money and wins them games, thats just how it is.. Itll take more for that player to be gone.

A person with some sense knows, if a player hits rock bottom, back up against the wall.. That you would give them that last chance, to see if they actually do change, because its rock bottom.. Has he hit it yet? We shall see.. But being an idiot, would be to get rid of the guy once he hits rock bottom only to have he swept up by a division rival (Jags, Texans) would pick him up FAST!

and since he has hit rock bottom, its very likely this person has really changed and seen the light

But, using only a portion of your brain you will ignore that part and completely get rid of the guy when all of that stuff is noticeable.

Its a business.. You make smart, thought out decisions.. Not the first thing that comes to your head because you're angry

Sure, your post makes you seem smart.. But c'mon!

You're forgetting a large part of the 'business' portion of the sport. If Pacman Jones is suspended for the entire year, the Titans lose a TON of money. Even if a portion of his pay is suspended with him, the Titans have already spent way too much money on him to let him sit for a year for disciplinary reasons.

A good league business guy would be able to tell you what it costs for a top 10 pick to be suspended for a year.

Rule of thumb for a typical American company is that it costs about $20,000 for an employee to "not work out" soon after a hire. That's obviously an approximate, but you bring him in, interview him, train him, pay him, and then he just either quits or gets fired, and you can expect that much off of your bottom line.

Pacman is paid so much more than a typical American employee, that I can guess that it's costing the Titans' owner millions of dollars, inluding the cost of a lost draft pick, signing and training his replacement, ect.

Yes it's a business about winning, but it's also an investment business. Bud Adams can only pi$$ away so many dollars on this loser before he's outta there.

So, did you start that post out by trying to sound offensive and abraisive and then change your mind right before you clicked "submit reply?"

I don't get why you'd be mad at me at this point, but the renege was equally confusing.

I bet now you wish you'd have set the barn on fire and gotten rid of the rats! Pacman is out for the year, and you know what that means:
    Twice the booze,
    Twice the dope,
    Twice the strippers,
    and Twice Arrested!

His brown little thug booty is going to have a bullseye on it before too long, because that boy's headed to PRISON! Maybe then he'll realize the value of deep secondary coverage!

  5. If Pacman keep screwing up then he just gets suspended again (or not reinstated). Doesn't really make a difference whether we had cut him or not...
