I’ve got to agree with many who’ve already said this is a silly thread and not worthy of the Elfin one, but I've always enjoyed your Titans posts and the unique perspective that you bring to the forum, for that reason I’ll attempt a serious response.

I wouldn’t try to read between the lines of your beau’s gift. If he has something he wants to say to you make him say it. Nothing worse than a wuss who’s afraid to speak his mind; someone who insists on insinuating his feelings rather than flat out saying them. Life’s way too short for that type of chit (and you know if you start putting up with this BS now, you’ll be putting up with it for the rest of the relationship)

Shouldn’t this be more about how you feel about yourself rather than how someone feels about you. If you’re comfortable with how you look, then F him.

Looks are fleeting and you’ve always struck me as someone who has a lot more to offer than a nice tight package. If a guy starts giving you grief now about an extra lb or two, how true is he going to be when gravity and age starts taking their toll (not even elves stay youthful forever). Just from reading your posts it’s apparent you’d have no problem finding a quality dude. A smart, money earning, fun loving, loyal chiquita who loves football… sounds like fun to me.
