SEC PWNS the Big Ten!

Well I put about 10 seconds of time looking for it so I really didn't care. I did like seeing Michigan get crushed.

So let me get this right... the two fans of big10 teams here that CLAIM they care nothing about conferences or conference rivalry....

are now on here posting links to head to head conference records like they mean anything :blah:

well that is fair enough, but most - if not all - SEC bowl games the SEC faces a team seeded 2-4 slots higher in their conference. Take the Music City Bowl game you mentioned SEC (Tennessee) 9th against ACC (NC) 6th

which is pretty typical for SEC tie ins. Kinda gotta keep that in mind during bowl season.

 

And let's be honest the depth of the SEC wasn't as deep as usual and most people didn't even think UT or USCe would win. UGA was a shocker though and I still don't know how Richt is there.

I don't have to keep that in mind. It's a game, you play who you play. If the SEC is so good quit complaining that you're playing a team 3 seeds higher than you in a pathetic conference like the ACC.

What I will keep in mind is that you feel it's OK to boast about the SEC because your team is geographically associated with other teams, a few of which happen to be good. You having to play Auburn, Florida, Alabama, or LSU doesn't make you good by association. It just makes you a victim to those teams each year.

 

Every conference (almost) has about 2 really good teams per year.

The SEC usually has 1 of the best in the nation.

The teams beyond those 2 are typically very average and only win vs each-other. Just like every other conference.

Difference is- every other conference doesn't piggy-back ride their rivals.

 

Why are you so concerned with how the SEC performs?

 

Yes because the Mountain West is the best, of course.
