I think were fine at WR, Britt has shown that he may be a tad bit of a low motivated headcase but he is a great player. Right now hes a #1 WR if he matures he can be a top 10 WR in the league. Nate is good number two, hes a good complimenty player. DWill is a guy who I think has some decent potential, he has shown flashes of being a great WR.

If there was problems on the offensive side of the ball I would say that I would be at Oline or TE. Our Oline has progressivly gotten worse for a few years and none of our TEs are really that good. At QB we dont have much of a problem, Hasselbeck is average but I don't see him as being a problem.

Our biggest problem may be our defense though. We have a tackleing problems and our pass rush isnt good. Not to mention that Griffin has fallen off a cliff the past few years.

Get a dominant defensive player in the 1st round, then draft Devier Posey in the 2nd.

I'm surprised at how many think the Titans are fine at wide receiver. Washington is having the best season of his career and deserves all the accolades he's getting, but he may regress to the mean next year. Williams still has a ton to prove and I am just not convinced he's anything more than a career #2 or #3. He lacks big play ability from what I've seen. Britt is, of course, a huge wild card. I don't think the Titans can afford to rely on him ever producing big numbers again. He may take a year to get over his knee injury and back up to full speed, and who knows how many times he'll break the law in that year. I prefer to treat Britt as a bonus. Everything that he does from here on out is gravy, but he is not a cornerstone because he is so unreliable.

I think wide receiver is definitely an area of need.

What we're seeing in the league now is that the best teams are 4+ deep at wide receiver. It's a passing league and the best teams have invested at wide receiver (and tight end). The Packers roll with Jennings/Nelson/Driver/Jones/Cobb/Finley. The Saints have Colston/Moore/Meachem/Henderson/Graham. Steelers have Wallace/Brown/Sanders/Ward/Miller. Why not aim to surround Locker with a group of weapons like that? I know we all have hopes for Hawkins and Cook, but they just don't have it and almost certainly never will.

I guarantee you give any of those teams Britt/Washington/Dwill/Hawkins/Cook and they look just about as good. There's just as many good teams with terrible receiving groups-49ers, Ravents, and Texans. A great QB is going to make receivers seem a lot better than they are.

I want to know if any of the 49ers safeties are going to be free agents. Those guys are hitting harder than Harrison tonight.

Hardwick out of Seattle is the only one that really is a go-for. Branch out of the Raiders is interesting.

I like D.Will as much as anyone, but he's not a No.1 WR. He may one day become that, but as of right now he's not. IMO every competitive NFL team needs 2 WR's they can say are No.1's.

With the draft at least 11 deep at WR, that's a good place to turn to if WR is a position we're to address.

Here's a list of free agent WR's I would hope we pursue:

    Plaxico Burress
    Dwayne Bowe*
    Mario Manningham
    Robert Meachem*
    Vincent Jackson*

    * indicates who I think we have a legitimate shot at getting

I think nearly their entire defensive backfield is up for contracts.

Tramaine Brock, and C.J. Spillman will be restricted FA

But Dashon Goldson, Reggie Smith, and Madieu Williams are all options if you want 49er's in TN.

I'd like for us to look at LaRon Landry and Tyvon Branch, those dudes make Griffin look like a pizza boy.

If Bud has the cash, he won't spend it. That statement is the ultimate truth. If he wants to see us go to the big game before he dies, he has to open up the check book and at least provide us with ONE WR to pair with Britt and Washington. That doesn't have to be in FA but the draft is where he could start. Britt/Washington/2nd round draft pick/D.Will/Hawkins is a start for me.

In the same breath, he needs to fix the O-line, get us a pass rusher (Morgan has been a dissapointment) and provide us with better safeties. IMO, we are solid as we could be at CB.
