santonio holmes headed to the jets for a 5th round pick

    Good point. That's true. They may of loved Sanchez, then they could of gotten him in the draft without trading up.

    This was still highway robbery.

    Santonio Holmes for a 5th round pick is worth it even if he only plays 5 games this season.

    And you rarely see a team trade away the guy that won them a superbowl with a miraculous effort. Holmes was the only guy that was going to win that game for them, and he did it.

    it was great for us.

    justin mccareins was a horrible pickup for the jets and an even worse WR. he never had a 1000 yard year with us before the trade and never had one after the trade.

    finding a guy who can get 700 yards per year and score 7 tds in three years shouldn't take a second round pick, it should take a trip to the local community college.

    Jets are smart to make an offer when Holmes was facing a 4 Game Ban. Steelers traded him before they could think clearly.

    OK so one bad trade. He also stole Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes. Also traded up for Revis. I'd take him over our GM.

    i think it's a bit premature to call these steals. sanchez is still young and could never amounting to anything. at the same time holmes is one piss test away from being suspended for the year.

    Me too. But not for his Holmes move alone. I like the trade on the Jets side. But Plaxico taught anyone coming into New York to be careful. Bet on Holmes burning the Steelers one day. I see this working out good as Holmes is great at coming back to the ball. Young QB + that should = wins.

    I know these NYJ fans around here are loving this.

    I'd rather not have him getting any of our younger players in trouble, even if it just is a 5th rounder.

    This guy will be outta the league in 4 years if not sooner.
