I thought they had done away with the post June 1st designation for released players, but just read on rotoworld that the Skins might cut Santana Moss and designate him a post June 1 cut which would push some of the salary cap hit in terms of acclerated signing bonus into next yr.

I thought they had done away with that. Anybody know what the rule is now?

    Could certainly affect Amano?

Teams are able to release a number of players (offhand, I think three) at any point and declare them to be post-June 1 cuts.

In Amano's case, that would mean they could have the $2.9 million signing bonus proration from 2013 and 2014 hit in 2013 instead of all $4.35 million this year.
