Saints Game Review

I just got home and finished the game on DVR. Wow, here are some thoughts on the game. Feel free to post your guys thoughts.

1. I think when Ayers went down the game changed. Brees seemed to have more time and easier passes. Hopefully Ayers' injury isn't too bad. Well need him these last three games.

2. CJ and the Oline struggled today. Lanes weren't created and CJ didn't look like the back he has the last two weeks. Interior line must step their game up.

3. We've got a future star in Locker. He still needs more time, but when he is ready we're gonna have something special.

4. We need another DLineman really early this coming draft. Lanes looked like highways for the Saints the first half.

5. CJ should have had that first down on the one play Hass came back in, no excuse. Terrible call on 3 and inches, why throw it deep? Finally Locker got that first down, terrible spot.

6. Casey has some wheels for 300lbs.

7. Palmer......41 seconds left and no timeouts and you call a draw?!?!?! Terrible playcalling. Wasted 13 seconds

8. Washington. I've been a critic of yours for a long time. Time for me to shut up. Amazing heart and determination on a bad ankle. Thanks for giving your all for the Titans.

9. CJ didn't do much today, but he saved any last second chance we had by pulling Washington to the sideline. Incredible heads up play.

10. Amazing defense by Porter on the second to last throw. Last play turned into the scene from The Longest Yard where all the prisoners give up on the play and just destroy whoever is closest to them. Only chance was if CJ saw the back of the endzone sooner.

11. Finally, Awesome game! Wish we could have pulled it out, but we are growing. This was the best team we have faced all year and they only beat us by 5. This is going to be a very solid team next year, very solid.

PS, GO TITANS!!! Lets finish out the last three with wins and head to the playoffs.

 

yeah no kidding. I think with a healthy McCourty we win that game.

 

I want to revise number 10. I went back and looked at the final play... what a joke!?! I didn't know you could tackle WRs that didn't have the ball, when did they change the rule?

 

The ref on the far side had it right, and it would have been a right down. But the other ref overturned it and put it like 3 feet back. Unless he had the ball at his knees I don't see how he didn't get the first down.
