    Signed Pitoitua B+
    Signed Washington C
    Signed McCluster D
    Signed Whitehurst C
    Signed Woodyard C
    Signed Phillips D
    Signed AJohnson C
    Signed Spencer C
    Signed Olson C
    Released Bironas C
    Released Chris Johnson B
    Signed Derek Hagan B
    Signed Casey to a multi-year deal A
    Signed K Succop B
    Signed OLB Groves B
Traded OLB Ayers and a 7th pick for a 6th rnd pick F
    Released Phillips F

    Draft
    1 OT Lewan A-
    2 RB Sankey C+
    4 DT Jones C
    4 S Huff C
    5 ILBWilliamson A+
    6 QB Mettenberger A-

Evaluation - C Again, the need to sign so many free agents tells you how poorly previous drafts and free agent moves have been and that's not counting the free agent starters who NEED to be replaced (Levitre/Oher for starters). Some of the improvement was by subtraction (CJ) and some was a solid group of players (Pollard, Pitoitua, Hagan, Succop, and Groves). Perhaps the brightest off-season move was getting Casey under a reasonable contract for the long haul! But just as there have been bright spots and good signings, we've also blown money on players like McCluster who, while a good player, just is not involved much in the offense. Signing Phillips was also a waste as he seems to have failed to mentor our OLB corps and not produced himself either and cutting him now serves no purpose to the Titans. The Ayers trade was also a joke. No matter who the GM is, we always get fleeced by NE...even when giving THEM the player!

The draft is really what is saving Webster's job I believe.

Lewan looks like the real deal though obviously needs to develop still. But even as a rookie with limioted practice with the first team before his first start, he is already our best OL.

Sankey gets a raw deal due to people simply looking at his total yds and ypc. He has the highest ypc of all the rb's and has done a good job at making people miss and has great vision. He has also developed in pass protection (probably why he didn't start the beginning of the season) and shown he can be a weapon in the passing game. He is simply a very good all around runner in the Emitt Smith mold. How good he becomes stat-wise will be up to the quality of the OL.

Jones shows flashes of already being a solid backup and looks like has the chance to do more...solid pick.

Huff has played well as a backup and might have been able to do more if he stayed healthy. Solid pick.

Williamson has been the Gem of this class and already the best LB on the team. The STEAL of our draft so far and an above avg starting ILB. Excellent pick!

Mettenberger has shown he will at least be a competent backup with the chance to be so much more. If you get a solid backup QB from your 7th rnd pick, you've got a very good pick. It's a shame he has such a leaky OL and inconsistent WR corp or we might have a much better evaluation of whether he can be the starter without him getting beat up. Might turn into a phenominal pick and arguably the best draft in Titans history IF Mett can become a good starter for us! That's a GIANT IF!!!

I agree Sankey is better than Ringer, but he has yet to take over a game or even a drive. Granted that could be on KW.

Sankey is defiantly not one of the problems with the Titans

not actively being a problem, is part of our problem. We have about 48 guys on the roster that aren't problems.

well I think Sankey will be fine, but I agree KW only cares about the RB in that they are 5th WRs on any given play

Mccluster is a good pick up. We just don't use him well. IMO, he should be catching balls underneath all day long.

I am not sure on Sankey yet. He hasn't proven he was a "great value".

Hunter was not a great value. He was not only a 2nd round pick, but we gave up a 3rd for him as well. Add the fact that he has not improved much beyond his average rookie season & you cannot call him a value. Giving up a 2nd & 3rd for the type of production we have gotten from Hunter was a reach.
