"Neither player will say it publicly, but two of Detroits best offensive players -- receiver Roy Williams and running back Kevin Jones -- are counting the days until they can leave Detroit. While the losing seasons have taken their toll on the two players, there are other reasons why they want to leave the Lions organization and their motives arent exactly the same. Williams and Jones, who were both first-round draft picks in 2004, will become unrestricted free agents after next season and sources close to the players say theyve had enough and want out. -- Michigan Live"

Roy Williams is the 3rd best receiver in the nfl. And he doesn't have the drama that the 2 guys above him have.

If we could be confident that his knee is okay, I would love to have him. He's a stud, for sure.

He's had a bad season, despite the fact that Detroit passes it 99% of the time. Is it because he's playing bad? I assume it has more to do with the fact that Detroit's play-calling is totally inept.

For some odd reason, Kitna hasn't been looking his direction. He'd rather force balls in to Calvin Johnson and have them dropped than to throw to Roy.
the whole team is screwed, so I don't know who takes the blame.

I have followed Williams closely this year- he is on my fantasy team. He IS a stud receiver. His numbers are down this year because of Detroit's O'line and they are spreading the ball to Calvin Johnson, Shaun McDonald, Furrey and running more with Jones. He has made the most of his opportunities.

As far as his injury- he has a sprained PCL- not torn, just inflammation from bad plant/fall. He will be fine. Hines Ward had very similar injury earlier this year- he sat out 3-4 games and now is putting up big numbers for Steelers.

Titans should definitely make a play and/or make room for him.
