    No one here is saying college stats only equal bad players. Peyton and Luck were brought up here. They both had good college stats, but they also had a skill set that transitioned well to the nfl. Stats don't tell the whole story. That is a true statement. I would base 90% of my scouting on game tape, 5% on the combine, and 5% on stats. The game tape shows how the stats were obtained, and if they were obtained in a way that doesn't translate to the nfl you don't draft that player. To say game tape is watching stats happen is very asinine. A scout is looking at how the stats were obtained, not just that they were obtained.
