is an essential piece in the puzzle, in fact often the forgotten one.

however, your right , i too am happy this is happening now; there is definitely time for adjustments. i hvnt been on in like 24 hours and i see these three things. they are tough to swollow, but again, better now than later.

There will be no difference in what Rod Hood will (not) do this year, and what Nick Harper would have done if we kept him around.

    Uhhh.... Sure thing iQon.

Hood did more as a rusty journeyman in 4 games than Harper did all season.

the Tye Hill signing is huge now. Hood was a good insurance policy however.....is Ken Lucas still available?

    This is very disturbing news.

While Cromartie is better than all of our corners with the exception of Cortland, there were better corners available in free agency or via trade.

Yes he is, and I think we'd be silly not to at least give him a chance. I wouldn't honestly mind (1) Finnegan (2) Lucas (3) McCourty/Hill.

I think he was making a joke that they would both do nothing.

I think they both will be busts. Particularly Mouton. Hope I'm wrong, just my opinion.

Young corners should be given a fair share of opportunities. It's easy to lose faith in a rookie CB who got trashed vs. the Patriots and Colts, but those two young guys were getting exposed vs. the best two QB's in football. I trust they're improving daily. What McCourty and Mouton did last year should be the worst they ever perform.

What is your opinion based on? Mouton muffed a few punts, but that has nothing to do with his development as a CB.

Even if they both bust, there's still Verner. The Titans have lots of young guys at CB and they won't all bust.
