Rock Band...

Harmonix (creator of Guitar Hero) is coming out with a game called Rock Band. The game will require four controllers (lead guitar, bass, drums, and microphone). This game is going to be sick.

as much of a guitar hero nerd as i am, i dont think im going to be getting rock band.

Sounds like it requires a lot of commitment...

that's why i bring my real guitar over to my buddies dorm along with guitar hero.....and i make him carry the controller.

I was never interested in Guitar Hero. It's like Dance Dance Revolution but with a stick. Both of which you don't have to do anything close to the actions you're supposed to be simulating.

But this is a better concept. The Bass should be extremely easy though. There's a mic? and Drums? Those 2 might make it work to the point a bit of talent comes about.

I don't know how the mike will work. The drum reminds me of the gamecube game that came with bongos. It was kind of interesting, but got old fast.

Okay.... so the game came out this morning at 12 AM. I must admit, the game is pretty darn challenging, especially from the drum standpoint. The guitar action is pretty much the same as Guitar Hero. When you are on the World Tour mode, the songs get extremely repetitive because you have to play numerous gigs. Overall, it's a really fun and innovative game.
