The problem here..

I think this list includes too many barely noticable bands and too few highly popular bands. No matter how popular a band has been there are going to be people who don't like them. Some won't like them just because they were so popular. We see the beatles, stones, queen, aerosmith take hits but not a group like black flag. Why because nobody knows a thing about them to like or dislike them. I did my 2 minutes of research and black flag should get the death penalty now! They are a racist white supremacist skin head band that had had something like 5 different lead singers. They simply don't belong and i frankly don't think we should have to go through the rigermarole of wasting votes to remove them.

Now if you will excuse me i have a 14 hour day ahead of me. Please while i am at work take care of at least one of those damn hair bands. Motley crue or cinderella.

I don't like ccr enough to vote for them but at this stage i don't see any reason to vote against them. At the rate we are going many very popular bands will be gone and most of what will be left will be tone deaf punk bands. I hope i'm wrong..

Because it's blues-based and fronted by a really irritating singer.

King's X is missing from this list also...but they began to suck in a major way after album #5...but up until then, they were absolute genius!

Creeping Cruds started the thread & I guess a lot of the bands reflect his personal taste which is fair enough.

Elvis & the Beatles are big names but ones that I wouldn't even consider to be in the category of rock.

Henry Rollins changed everything for Black Flag. I love that guy & he would beat the chit out of anyone who accused him of being a racist.
