Ran 4.68/4.59, reportedly had the second fastest 10 yard split (1.63) of all the defensive linemen, behind only Dontay Moch (1.61). He was excellent in drills, and it looks like his character checks out, despite the suspension.

From Tony Pauline: "In a word - magnificent. Looks like he has not been away. Fluid, smooth, and athletic. Moved with speed in every direction and very explosive."

Cameron Jordan would be an interesting option, not at 8 though.

There's a ton of DE prospect this year, probably could get one in the 2nd.

We knew Quinn would run fast. That's all he does.

Just choose to ignore how well he did in the DL/LB drills.

It'd be easier to ignore what he did on the field.

My opinion dropped a little on this guy. 4.70 speed is good but not remarkable for a speed DE. Weighed in at 265 and his other workouts were mediocre.

We need to see the 10 yard split on some of these guys. If it is over 1.59 i wouldn't touch him at 8. That's what Morgan ran last year.

First, he had a 1.63 10 yard split, I posted that above. Second, only Dontay Moch had a faster 10 yard split than him among the DL with 1.61. Third, Morgan ran a 1.60, and it was the second fastest last year also. You're expecting a lot if you wanted him to run faster than 1.6.

So for those of you so big on Quinn, what differentiates him from Gholston or Maybin?

I'm not going to bullsh*t you with details, because let's face it, when Gholston was entering the draft, he was very highly rated. That's why there are busts. IMO, Gholston wasn't in the proper scheme, Maybin also. They were both 4-3 DE put into 3-4 defenses.

...and for the record, I'm not saying that Quinn is going to be a bust. I just think those types of speed rushers are pretty hit or miss.
