LOL if CJ is the same player this year, then his 2000 yard season was all due to his o-line.

Actually, he did say that. He said they needed to work better as a team. I'm guessing, like some others, that there is some dissent in the ranks that Coach needs to address. I suggest a Barry Trotz tactic-tell them publicly just how sorry they played.

    Of course it was.
I was responding to the poster that claimed CJ said he would never blame the o-line. He clearly did blame them, my point.

Try not to respond to a post that is in response to someone else, if you can't keep up with the conversation...:D

    This is news to you?

Any time a runningback gets even close to 2,000, they have an elite offensive line.

Hasselbeck sucked last season in Seattle because his offensive line didn't protect him well enough to succeed. He switches to a team with a great left tackle and strong pass protection and look how his production turned around.

It's not a coincidence that our o-line is sucking and CJ is sucking, it's a correlation. That should tell you all you need to know.

He said it'd be ALL his offensive line... if he's this terrible all of a sudden due to OL play.

Honestly, I can't even evaluate CJ's play due to the astonishingly awful run blocking. I have NEVER seen an NFL team run block this bad consistently week after week. CJ is hesitant, but with that run blocking, who wouldn't be? CJ, Ringer, and Hall have all basically said "there are no holes." That's in quotation marks because Hall made that exact statement after yesterdays game. I just can't believe our O-Line is this awful. How is even possible for an NFL team to be that bad up front every week? I don't even know what to say anymore. Has CJ lost it? I have no idea. Can't even tell right now. The only time we get successful runs is when the defense is in the nickel package. Sad and baffling.

What DW said, "ALL." CJ had the same bad blocking last year and made plays. He can't make anyone miss this year.

So we're using what a Houston player said to defend CJ now? Wow. The guy's clearly just trying to be classy about the situation.

I'm not even going to argue with the CJ apologists anymore. The proof is right there out on the field. It's week 8, no more excuses. If you're still defending CJ at this point then you fall into some combination of the following categories:
    A) You simply aren't watching the games (at least not objectively)
    B) You're a CJ fanboi
    C) You're delusional

We need to start harper. Though our line may suck at times, a hard runner could still make his own path to get at the very least, a few positive yards. Ringer and Johnson run like a couple of P*ssies (excuse me french). From what I seen in the preaseason, Harper ran with some purpose/heart. Maybe he just doesn't practice well though.
