Comparing Rondo's numbers with his mates in his 4th or 5th year to Rubio's first year with his seems a bit unfair...

While Rubio might not end up being as good as CP3 or D-Will, he'll be better than Rondo.

Rubio has been a pro for over 5 years it's not like he's a real rookie. Rondo > Rubio

    Euroleague is not NBA.

Playing with your teammates for 20 games < Playing with your teammates for 5 seasons.

In 2 seasons Rubio > Rondo

It's still professional basketball and he played in the olympic games too. Rubio actually struggled a lot in his Euroleage a lot like Brandon Jennings did before coming back to the states. Rubio is a good player but what you're seeing now is pretty much what you'll be getting for the next few years. If you want to talk about teammates Rondo is working with 3 guys all past their prime while Rubio has Love and a young/talented team. Rondo has been carrying that team for 2 years now but people are just starting to notice.

Obviously Rubio's game is suited better for the NBA. He's not an effective scorer off the ball and gets a lot of assists in transition.

Rondo's stats his first year with the big 3 - 10.6 ppg, 5.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals.
