That is reasonable except we got shellacqued on both our home openers the past two years. We ALMOST made the playoffs when we SHOULD have made the playoffs. We lost to a team that hadn't won a game- keeping us out.

The problem many (including myself) have with the team is that we didn't appear to fix ANY of the problems that were obvious last year. It is reasonable to question the coaches capacity to identify and resolve problems. The OL remains a mess. The running game remains a mess. Hell- they looked even worse. Pressure on the opposing QB? Pheewwww. Defensive adjustments? Offensive adjustments? There is a reason the players may have doubts about our coaching.

Jim Harbaugh was hired the same year that Munchak was and honestly, the 49ers were in worse shape than we were at that time. I'm greatly disappointed in the direction this team is headed, particularly when I the strongly positive direction another team is headed by a coach who we SHOULD have at least given a look. Adams/Reinfeldt didn't "release" Fisher until there were few other quality coaches on the market. IMO- that move was a clear "hand-off" to an "in-house" guy. That always seems to spell trouble. Munchak is a likable quy. But he hasn't shown me much in the way of getting this program going in the right direction.

Stop whining about Harbaugh he wanted that 49er job and they offered it to him before anybody else could.

By the way Ron Rivera was a guy many of you were pining for and he is having the same exact problems. Deangelo Williams ran the ball 6 times for -1 yard yesterday.

The specific complaints are stupid. We are judging play calling by called QB runs now? If he had called on Locker to run 5-6 times people would be b*tching that he was a moron for running it too much. He called the run it worked beautifully and our most experienced linemen held like an idiot.

As for roll outs we had many such plays. As for running to0 Harris' side we got stopped running on both sides.

When somebody says something to the effect that "players are grumbling" i have no respect for that. Sounds made up to me.

And why is Palmer always getting dumped on but Jerry Gray gets a pass? We can't stop the run to save our lives.

I for one am very happy with Palmer. He's been a main force to get our team to be more pass happy. I think his decision helped make moves for Locker and Wright and so far I'm very happy with those two picks.

Ya can't be perfect in play calling and like all of you have said the players are just as responsible for the poor performance. But we are SO young. I think we are ironing out the kinks and what better way to do it then against one of the best teams in the NFL.

The Locker run call was excellent and worked perfectly. Palmer didn't get called for holding.

The idea to put Wright in motion and then lateral to him was outstanding.

Our passing game was consistent all day long. We just could not finish drives.

I would give Palmer a C grade at this point. We are not throwing it for the sake of philosophy we want to be more balanced we just are not yet.

The passing game is the best we have had since 2003. People just want to b*tch.

I definitely don't understand what the Panthers were thinking yesterday. Why did they run the ball so few times when the Bucs have not been good against the run? Bad gameplan.

Didn't he get more yards that carry than CJ did all day?

I'm behind Locker 100%, but I told you guys we'd have been better off rocking with Hasselbeck vs New England.

You know he'd never over throw anyone and get them hurt.
