Chris Johnson is great for a flash play here and there, but that is not what this offense is predicated on. We need a back that can give the offense 3rd and 5 or less to keep the offense on track throughout the drive.

Does that one long play against the Chiefs make up for the other 13 touches going for 31 yards?

Well the only reason I am being harsh on the cost is because for a team to have long term success, you need to be proactive in maintaining a very close balance on the teams cost and talent level. I want us to be competitive for the next 5-6 years. Not have a one off team that falls off before reaching the show. Huge contracts to RBs arnt the way to do that IMO,

I see decent RBs come in the league and make good plays often and early. WRs
Tend to take a couple years. QBs are the ultimate risk. Out of every position on a team, returner and rb are the easiest transitions and often the easiest to replace.

We knew britt would want too much money and we were obviously scared of his possible production... Proactive, we went and snagged Hunter. Now our WRs will be 2 and three years into the league before they are fully tested. Wright coming on fast this season. Hunter made some huge plays and getting more time. Washington is the trusty vet.

Locker getting comfortable and figuring it out. O line is improved. If we can't win this year some people have to go to secure a better future
Obviously we wanted some different RB depth, Greene showed a huge push early but we struggled once he got hurt. Battle has been strong for us but the play calling has been obvious. We are trying to bully teams. Sometimes that can work. Sometimes it's best to be sneaky.

Bro I've been arguing this all day with these guys. Consistent play doesn't excite these people. Give em 9 touches for 4 yards and three failed drives and he breaks one for 80 the next play, they will swear to you his YPC was 8.4

We'd be better off just throwing a screen pass to Kendall Wright on every first down than running Chris Johnson, and that's the ****ing truth.

Chris Johnson is a great side dish, not enough there though to be the main course. When he was on that 2008 team we were the best team playing, but as we featured him more our success took a huge hit.

He was the best possible piece we could have added between 2007 and 2008. That defense was holding people to less than 19 points per game. All we needed as an offense was one big play a game to flip position or go for a score and we would have a great chance of winning.

Now we need more points, sustain longer drives to keep the defense off the field and we haven't had the other guy to get the tough yards because Greene has been hurt.

Yeah 49ers didn't and that's why he had room to run. 9 carries for 39 yards which is a 4.3 average. When the box isn't stacked he has room to run. He would have had a big game if we weren't down by a ton and had to throw.

Now that's just basic math. 84 yards/10 carries=8.4 yards per carry.
