Re-projecting the draft based on 2007

Good to see Griffin in the first round still.

 

Man what a waste of time.

 

Reggie Nelson? boo. Griffin will be better in the long run. Nelsons stats look better now but I bet he has also gotten more snaps.

 

He's started most of their games.

 

How do you know? I can stick my chest out and say that henry will be better peterson or that paul williams will be better than bowe. Reggie nelson is playing like a top safety already. 4 ints, 50 tackles, 1 FF, 1 sack. You don't accomplish that just by being out there.

As for the better in the long run line i guess that applies to our whole draft that has provided almost no help to this team this year. Our WRs look like busts, henry can't even hold on the the kick return job.

I like griffin and i think he will be a good safety but i was hoping for more with the 17th pick. I hope we were not reaching for the guy just because he is good at special teams..

 

not really. have you watched any jacksonville games? he has what i like to call lamont thompson stats. all of the stuff they keep track of look good, but things like missed tackles and blown coverages, not so much.

 

I agree with RollTide, right now, Id rather have Nelson. Griff has been playing well, but its been more of a "hasnt done anything terrible, but hasnt done anything real, real great". Nelson has been a playmaker this year, but yeah, he has had his mistakes.
