RB Harper

    Since Ringer is out with a broken hand I believe, it pushes Harper into the spot light... I've seen him get like 2 carries all season for no yards.

    He is supposed to have good hands and be a decent receiving threat out of the backfield. That's one thing that Ringer has accelled at during the year. CJ for some reason just can't catch a frigging ball. He's near worthless as a screen rb or check down cuz he always seems to screw it up. Yet he will catch a high thrown ball on a wr type play. Odd man.

    Anyways back to harper. What's everyones thoughts on what we think we will find once he starts gettin carries, getting play time.

    For one thing, I didn't like when locker got smashed during the saints game and the ball came out awkwardly and could have been ruled a fumble, you can see Harper lined up at as a wr and he pulls up instead of going and getting that ball...

    We'll neglect the run after CJ does little to nothing- and we'll never give someone else a shot to show it may not be the OL. (and that's not me saying it is or isn't... just the way it'll be)

    I am hopeful that DW is wrong and that Harper is given some touches, and that he shows that he can provide the power running game that we desperately need.

    I'm excited. Ready to see what he can do in a real game. I know he won't get hardly any touches, but hopefully have positive yards. Also, wouldn't mind him running over a few people to get extra yards.

    I don't see how "CJ can't catch the ball." He has 45 for the year and has probably dropped between 6 and 8. Yes the ones he dropped are much easier to catch than a WR's drops but he catches most.

    Hopefully Harper gets at least 5 runs this week. I'd love to see him break a 15 or 20 yarder and gain some confidence. Vs the Colts is a great opportunity.

    I'd say Harper is good for 4-6 carries, with 2-3 receptions.
