Raiders release 3

I would like to take a chance on Patterson in the second if he is there though. Depending on how the rest of free agency pans out.

 

Deep threat, speed, quality player, and maybe that "bust" label will scare some teams away. If we were looking at Amendola who is even a bigger question mark with his health concerns then why not?

Patterson from Tennessee? I doubt he falls outside the top 20 at this point.

 

Because all Amendola has to do is stay heathly. DHB cant catch, run routes, break tackles. All he is a fast WR who can rundown the field quick. Thats it. Literally.

You are probably right, but I also view WR as a bigger need than most people are talking about. Plus everyone forgets how hard it is for these guys to make an impact right off the bat.

We are just talking about a 4th/5th stinger. So you will basically see him replace Hawkins.

 

Amendola would probably be a KR and PR and play exclusively in the slot when we go to 3 or 4 WRs. Right now we really don't have a pure slot WR. A Wes Welker type guy. That is were his value is. Hawkins is going to be gone. He might stay into camp to see if we have any injuries. But Hawkins, DWill, Washington are all not the Wes Welker tyoe guy you want in the slot. Wright is to some extent but I see them using him more on the outside. Wright and Amandola could both play slot in 4 WR sets.

So you don't get him to be just a 4th WR but more of a specialist in certain formations.

 

Raiders are a complete joke, and they'll never be good until every single player on their team is gone, every single coach on the sidelines is gone, every single person in the front office is gone, and their owner is gone.

They had two coaches who did decent in their first seasons with the team (Cable and Jackson) and they fire them without giving them a shot. Then they hire a total moron.

Pretty sure they're paying like five coaches right now.

With the 3rd pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select WR, Cordarrelle Patterson.

That was my prediction as of a couple weeks ago, and now it seems all the more likely.

Yes he was a disappointment in Oakland but who isn't.

At times last year we sorely missed someone able to get really deep, DHB could be a cheap deep threat. Draft another receiver in the mid rounds.

 

DHB would be a great KR/PR no?
