Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky Playing for Vince Young, Kerry Collins outperformed Carson Palmer, throwing for 128 yards and a TD as Tennessee moved to 2-0 with a 24-7 win in windy Cincinnati.
"It was borderline impossible to throw the ball where I really wanted to throw it," Collins said, rating the conditions as worse than he ever faced as the home team's quarterback at Giants Stadium, where the wind is notorious.
I was struck by how the team's young budding stars carried the day, a very good sign for the only undefeated team in the AFC South.
The Titans held Chad Ocho Cinco and T.J. Houshmandzadeh to seven catches for 63 yards as the two young staples in the secondary, corner Cortland Finnegan and safety Michael Griffin, collected interceptions. The new young blazer on offense had a big game too, as running back Chris Johnson's 51-yard run helped him to his first 100-yard game.
