PS3 Could surge ahead on 2009

2012 ?
anyone else think there'd be new consoles by then ?

the Xbox was released in 2001 and replaced in 2005 = 4 years
the Ps2 was released in late 2000 and replaced in 2006 = 6 years*
the GameCube released in 2001 and replaced in 2006 = 5years

the succession timeframe (averaged) is 5 years
which means we could see a new Xbox in 2010
and new Sony / Nintendo consoloes in 2011

-- so how relevant is Ps3 Software revenue in 2012 ?

 

I'm interested to see how this research is done. How do they have a handle on what will be exclusive from 3rd Party Developers, price drops, etc etc. There are so many variables that seem to me, you can't predict in 2007.

 

I think what they mean is that Sony will be generating more revenue as 1st party titles hit the console- not 3rd
I didn't think anyone made much off of 3rd party publishing anyway

 

surely Ratchet and Clank can't be the sole saviors of the console

Those that have played the demo over at AVS have been a little underwhelmed by it.

Either way, I am looking forward to it and need something to play on my PS3.

In 2009, we will be hearing about the new Xbox coming out in 2010.
