Just be patient and grab what you can afford. Try to take a break once in a while so you can save up a bit of cash to grab something a little nicer, but otherwise just have fun... that's the point I think.

The Titans don't have a ton of collectors so if you can stay away from players that speculators are buying usually you can get a good deal (whether it's now or two years from now). I'm worried that a strong Chris Johnson performance on Saturday night is going to bring a ton of "investment" buyers in on his cards and drive the prices out of whack for a while. His stuff is relatively cheap at the moment... he wasn't even included in the "top twenty rookies of 2008 to collect" in a recent Beckett publication (and when you consider that traditionally the most collected players are RB's and QB's it shows you just how little hobby interest there is in the Titans RB).

If you bought the Roos card off a bulk seller don't be shocked if it's a little slow in coming. 99% of the time it'll get there, but the seller probably does mailouts once or twice a week.

hehehe... That's the deal with regular Topps. If you're not into the base set you really shouldn't buy the cards, because the odds of getting some great insert are slim. But yeah... Marcus Monk and Keena Turner WTF? :irked:

They we're going for as low as $46 last week, but after Saturday night there's been a spike in interest. I tried to snag one last night, but it ended up going for $76. There's one ending tonight and it's already at $48... fug.

    Why so much?

I was a little worried when I won a Press Pass auto /199 with a final price of $6.66 on the day of the game. Turned out well.

Why so much? Topps Rookie Premiere autos are one of the most popular cards released every year. Seeded one or two per case of Jumbo packs, they're a hugely difficult pull. Really not hard too figure out why they're so popular; tough to pull, simple "in uniform" portrait design from the premiere event, beautiful hard sigs (although in CJ's case beautiful not be an appropriate description for that sig)... only hard signed cards to date of the 2008 rookies in their new uni's.

I paid $200+ for this bad buoy back in the summer of 06
