Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky HOUSTON -- Jacksonville receiver Jerry Porter dropped a pass on third down to kill the Jaguars' most recent drive, which ended with Josh Scobee missing a 43-yard field goal attempt wide right.

"Monday Night Football" gets national attention for people.

In Porter's case, that's not a good thing.

The national audience was just reminded about his big free agent contract and how his production has not come close to matching expectations.

Those who didn't know just found out he's got eight catches this season. They've been good for 115 yards and one score.

And his team is still in need of an explosive downfield receiver.

It's weird, normally when big free agents go to Oakland they start to suck, it's just the opposite this time.

He wasn't very good at Oakland either (and was drafted there).

He was a decent #2. Considering the inconsistency they had at QB I always thought a change of scenery would do him good. Guess he was better off in the bay area.

    When he played...maybe.
