Safety Bernard Pollard picked up his second personal foul in three preseason games when he was flagged for unnecessary roughness on Atlanta’s fourth play.

Officials apparently thought Pollard hit Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones too late.

“I can’t change the way I play football,” Pollard said. “These guys have never played and they don’t understand how fast this game is. We’ve got a split second to make a decision, as far as how we’re making that tackle.

“I hit him in the shoulder pad and I barely grazed that … but the ref made his call. All we can do is stick to that.”

Might as well take the head off if your going to get a flag!

Sometimes I think Pollard is trying way too hard.

However, I must admit that his calls wouldn't be a big deal back when the real NFL was up and running.. The Roger dude is making it hard for real NFL hitters to make a living.

It is preseason for the refs too.
