I asked this last year and since there are new people aboard, I figured I would ask again. Since 2008 draft and above, what players did you want the Titans to select in the 1st round? Did they pan out? Be honest now. 2008 - Malcolm Kelly WR - Oklahoma 2009 - Percy Harvin WR - Florida 2010 - Terrence Cody DT - Alabama 2011 - Jake Locker QB - Washington Well, as you see the last 4 drafts we have picked one player that I wanted. I can't believe I wanted Malcolm Kelly :sad2: So it's safe to say the Titans won't grant my wish and select Alshon Jeffery
Very few times can someone actually go back and say that guy would have still be awful if we had drafted him. Someone like Leinart......probably would have still sucked with us.

2006: Matt Leinart - QB - USC :hmm: 2007: Michael Griffin - S - Texas 2008: Devin Thomas - WR - Michigan State :hmm: 2009: Hakeem Nicks - WR - North Carolina (we got Britt just after so it's OK) 2010: Jason Pierre-Paul - DE - South Florida (had him in all my mocks I hate the Giants for taking him ) 2011: Jake Locker - QB - Washington Not bad, I was off on Devin Thomas and Matt Leinart BADLY but overall not bad eye for a talent if I do say so myself. Two out of the last six guys I wanted were drafted by us so I think I am due an incorrect selection this year.

2006: Vince Young, QB, Texas 2007: Patrick Willis, LB, Ole Miss 2008: DeSean Jackson, WR, Cal 2009: Clay Matthews, LB, USC 2010: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, USF 2011: Jake Locker, QB,Washington -I bought into the hype but I wanted Cutler too, just not Leinart. -Knew Willis would be a beast. -Wanted a WR, liked Jackson. -Bruce Matthews connect -Stupid Giants -Boom
I don't remember who I was wanting most years, but I do remember a few, probably bc we actually drafted who I was wanting ... 2006 - Vince Young - After watching him play in the National Championship game I was sure he would just be a winner. I also thought that Mac9 would be his mentor here, but even after they locked Steve out I was still set on VY. OOPS. Hindsight 2020 ... 2008 - I actually wanted CJ, but didn't think we would actually take him. I saw a lot of his tape leading up to the draft and fell in love with him as a prospect. Then his 40 time cemented it for me. I didn't think we would take him though with Lendale on the team. I was excited when we did though ... 2010 - I was wanting Fairley in the 1st and Mallet in the 2nd (turns out we could've waited longer), but my #2 was Jake Locker. Honestly though when Gabbert fell I was just praying that he was not the pick. Looking back though I think Locker was the best pick
