Collins did bring this team back from 14-0 deficit and got us the lead. Then events happened out of his control and the momentum never returned. True his last 13 passes were incomplete but some of those were clear errors by the receiver corp. In other words, "you're in the NFL, you should be making those catches". I also blame some of the play calling down the stretch. They knew that the Jets would send the house on Collins and we don't have a single screen pass to anyone in the playbook?

As for the Vince thing, I was happy to see him get better in the preseason and that he clearly had been working on his deficiencies. That said, he still made some poor decisions that don't earn you a starting gig on most teams. If the Titans continue the downward spiral they are in this season, VY may get some more playing time since our playoff hopes would probably done anyway. But the NFL is a different place since he confused defenses the first time he made his appearance in a down season. The league knows how to play him and it will take more than his feet to success. It'll take his wits, his arm, and his guts to stick it out.

 

Right now, our offense is treading water. With VY, we'd sink to the bottom. The offense isn't our problem. Hell, the defense isn't our problem. Our problem is giving up silly mistakes.

It's true, your team is only as strong as its weakest links, and even tho we have some really strong links, they are nullified by the weak links that have cost us the game.

 

all im saying is that if that would have been vince playing this last game and put up the same numbers collins did, you would be calling for his head!!! Do you not see the double standard or are you just being ignorant and dont want to see it!

 

yeah because in HS, they execute run and pass plays...totally different from the NFL.

 

he wouldnt have had to make some of those throws because ppl would have been more open due to slower pass rush because of qb rollouts! he would have opened up our offense and def slowed down their D!

 

Collins is not the reason this team is 0-3. But, if the team (as a whole) loses some more games, then we'll all get to see what VY can do.

And then we'll all start talking about how we are going to have to draft the QB of the future.

 

Do you trust Collins on a game winning drive vs a 3-4 defense like the Jets or Eagles? do you really think he would score? A game winning drive usually means a defense is going to play as best they again including the secondary. VY would be better suited cause most likely the middle would open up for him to pick up a first down.

If they have the WR's covered and are blitzing, Collins is toast every time. Nothing collins can do but lay down and lose the game.

 

young needs to start next week. Why wait? because if he plays well then it will be too late. it will be 06 all over again.

 

i really don't know why VY haters have such a bad memory of his play. Sure he's a work in progress (throwing mechanics, reads, etc) and his legs are not Vick's like we were expecting, but the man has never sunk our team. Our team with Vince has always found a way to win. 2006: our team with vince went 8-4. 2007: our team with vince went 10-6. this mess about vince sinking our team is just stupid.

 

Knowing Fish he won't make a qb Change when Im watching the games now I can't tell who's back there KC makes some good throws then he makes some terrible ones sound familiar. Had Vy put up numbers like this the media would of feasted on it. The thing with Kc he is here to take care of the ball that was Vy biggest weakness. Don't seem like that's planning out so why not play VY don't look like well be playing in the playoffs that way we know what to do next year draft or free agency. I really think we need to get back to smash and dash the running team we are and have roll outs and play action. I think we have got to pass happy we need to go back to the old school team. Long drives keep our defense resting.:gag:
