Why didn't we draft Jordan Shipley instead?

Either way I do think it was a good pick... seeing as it was midway through the third round.

the reason i say he is a 1st round talent is that his route running and hands more than make up for him not having blazing speed, keep in mind that Jerry Rice only ran a 4.5 on a good day and he was the best receiver to ever play

Could have probably gotten this guy in the 4th... but that's the case with almost all of our picks every year.

lol @ Fisher wanting to trade up to get this guy. Really? You can get a punt returner in the 4th, 5th, etc. Can't see him being a legit WR in the NFL. Paul Williams, Roydell Williams, Lavelle Hawkins, etc... we've got another one.

Fill in the blanks. It really does seem like you're never happy with anything.

Shipley's not that good and definitely not the best WR in college. Quit your b$tchin. Williams was rated considerably higher than Shipley, but he is no Tate.

It's not so much WHO we're picking. It's WHERE we're picking them- and this is a common theme with this team. Every year we reach on average players that there isn't much demand for.

We reached for Michael Griffin. Reached for Chris Johnson (the payoff doesn't matter when we could have had 1 extra pick PLUS Chris Johnson), reached for Henry, P. Williams, Lavelle Hawkins, Senderrick Marks, etc. Every year we do it.

If we traded back and got extra picks- I wouldn't mind it so much, but we don't. And we could clearly have traded back both 3rd round picks and gotten the same guys. Every year.

At least they did not trade up to get Williams. Trading up is why they did not have a second round pick this year, and the guy they got last year probably was not worth the second round pick.

I gave them a C+ so far mainly because of the missing second round pick. Morgan and Williams may be good players and could make this a B so far when we look back this time next year.

Williams was Fishers man. He's bigger and faster than Shipley. He's a solid returner. I'm not complaing about taking him. Honestly, when the Titans took him I was confused (I wanted LaFell, Jacoby Ford, or Shipley) but now looking into it I like this pick.

Deuce, you're just upset because we didn't get Brandon Graham. It's ok, I wanted him too!

We do make reaches, as for Williams he wasn't a reach. I think Curran was a reach, we could of gotten him in the 4th probably.
