    I like Williams... but...

My main concern isn't his ability- it's that he'll be yet another receiver that can't stay healthy enough to prove himself on the field. Has an injury history, and we know our S&C program (or lack of) wont do anything to help that.

Injuries? he had a problem with his shoulder ligaments during his season on the USC Scout Team (redshirt year after transfering from Arkansas) in 2007, and had it repaired, but nothing since.

ah, I'd heard the shoulder was a nagging injury.

Yeah, knew I'd read a lot about him having a lot of small injuries.

Heck, anyone can get a hamstring or ankle sprain just walking down the sidewalk.

Not anyone that plays sports all the time. Or at least, they shouldn't. Those minor injuries happen to certain players far more often than others- like Mouton for example. Was hurt in college, hurt during the combine, hurt all season here. Small injuries, but they'll probably always keep him off the field.

The more I see/hear about Williams the more I like. He's the pick I'm most excited about. For those who were mad that we passed on Dez Bryant, it looks like this guy can do everything Dez can do.

after watching that video it looks like he has great vision, shifty moves and is great at using blockers.HE WILL shine in our system. We just have to find a way to put the ball in his hands.

Sorry man I forgot that you know every other teams drafting srtategy and you definitely know that CJ wouldn't have been drafted if we traded back. You have to have a certain degree of trust in the FO that we draft the right guys and quit complaingin over every little thing. We have a good team and given time with these new guy we have a shot at bein a perennial playoff team imo of course.

I'd bet CJ would have been there in the 2nd. At least further back than when we picked him. You can't really complain about it now, of course... but we never utilize the values of trading down.

Which would be fine if every player we reached on ended up being Chris Johnson, but 9/10 aren't.

It takes two to tango. Look at Vollmer from the Pats last year. They were berated for taking him in the 2nd and he looks like the successor to Matt Light for them. You have t take chances and I generally trust the FO when it comes to drafting.
