    I doubt they shorten the draft

    NFL has a shortage of QB's, at some point there should probably be expanded rosters to accommodate carrying an extra QB or two to develop

    could mean longer drafts

    oh yea after round 3 I dont even know players names, i dont watch that crap either

    league has tried spicing it up tho by announcing picks from unique places related to the teams picking

    still wasnt enough for me to watch round 4-7

    The orangutan and props on stage was a bit much though. Having past players or even fans announce the picks is cool though.

    HOF Packers QB, who I saw play under Lombardi and won 5 of 6 NFL championship games he played in, was a 17th round pick. Don't think the draft was on TV. Definitely no ESPN or NFL TV either...

    I tend to agree with him a bit...Drew Pearson was kind of cool, being in Philly especially. Irsay picking...I mean the orangutan picking was lame.

    Is, and always has been, a shortage of QBs. The number of decent starters is about typical for the NFL. However, it does feel like there are not as many good backups.

    I think though that development league @RTH was talking about would go a long to getting more talent developed at QB.
