The fusion surgery apparently was succesful but he can't seem to regain strength in his arm. He is supposedly working out as much as possible but it's not a given that the arm strength will return.

It does look like he has full intention of playing again (assuming arm strength) and TN makes more sense than anywhere. The next few weeks will be interesting...

This is awesome news for Peyton and for us for a couple reasons. He'll still be cut by Indy and he will leave the division. He'll most likely end up in AZ or NY where they will kiss his @$$. I honestly hope that he does get back to playing at a high level, just not as a Colt.

Being cleared to play doesn't mean he'll ever be the same.

His neck is fragile which means his arm strength, accuracy, and quick release will all be effected.

He can still be good, but this time around he's going to need a good defense, great weapons, and a great o-line. It's not going to be all Peyton anymore.

Joseph Addai said he was throwing hard enough to play WEEKS before the season even ended.

Some of you need to face the facts and stop letting your imagination run wild. He's been throwing for a while now, if he couldn't get the ball out fast enough or far enough to be effective I doubt he would want to play anymore.

He was waiting for the doctors to clear him and now they have, he'll be back and still be a force, and I hope its for the Titans.

Hate him, but im glad to hear that his career may not be over. Guy is a wonderful qb and always fun to watch. More so than Brady imo.

Meh, he won't be going to NYC. It's Miami or Arizona and Tennessee as a possible dark horse

Miami will go for Flynn, their new coach will want an answer for longer than a couple of years. Arizona is a possibility, NYJ too.

Does anyone else think this Peyton Manning - Jim Ersay thing is getting out of hand.

This is all obvious Peyton PR for ESPN to run with and exploit.

They are taking away from the "ACTUAL" important game this weekend.

I realize the game is in Indy but I mean cmon! What of this "news" is BREAKING NEWS?! non of it! We already knew weeks ago that Peyton would get cleared and play again; and even if we didnt fully 100% know, then couldnt they WAIT ONE DAMN week for the super bowl to be over?

Did they really have to put this story out there a few days before the big game? Did doctors really need to clear him a few days before the game ...?

This whole thing is over-exploited just for ESPN to yap about other than "Gronks cast on his leg" ...

Ersay and Manning both need to SHUT UP ALREADY and get the spot light off them! Peyton is probably doing this because he wants to take the spot light off his lil bro who is about to up-peyton in Super Bowl wins ... and Ersay is taking advantage of more media coverage since the game is at his own stomping grounds in Indy ...

There will be plenty of time to discuss all of this AFTER the SB when theres is NOTHING to talk about between then and the Draft ... ENOUGH PEYTON MANNING ALREADY! SAVE IT!

Whew! Ok got that off my chest.

Because a future HoF QB, being cleared from injury, likely to hit free agency, in the AFC South, in a time when not much is going on in the NFL (Super Bowl bye) is not news.:sad2:
