Yes lets put the guy who had what 2 tds last season up there!
Yea we really dont have anyone that is poster worthy, sucks to be us.
But Wright will turn the corner and silence all the doubters this year. He did reach 1000-yards in only his 2nd season, he's on the up and up.
I don't mind those "greats" posters. Think about the Titans as a whole. We don't re-sign rookies that often, so who are they gonna make a poster of now? Griffin? No.
this team has ZERO star-level players.
Wright had a 1000 yard season.. good enough for 19th in the league. He has potential.. but that is it.
Casey is a good DT.. not a star player.
It would be laughable to honor any current player on the stadium itself. The early 2000s is all the Titans have. Everything since then has been pretty bad.
Wycheck, Kearse, McNair not relevant to Titans fans?????
IT'S ALL WE HAVE! of course it is relevant. Heck of a lot more relevant than any player we now have on our roster.
If they feel the need to take down the Titan greats.. then they need to replace them with nothing, or just Titans logos. they should save their ink, or whatever they print that out with.
Casey was one of the best DT's in the league this year. He's definitely banner worthy in my book. My only hesitation is will he be a Titans after his current deal is up.
That's the problem. That's 1 year. For the franchise to commit a lot of money and effort to honor you with a gigantic banner, you probably need at least 5 good years or so. Especially if you are on a loser of a team, like the Titans have been.
The team is full of Johnny Come Latelys.. nobody is an established NFL player besides Washington. He's my favorite Titan,. but no star.
for all the football players get caught. how many do u think get away with it?
I bet there are a TON of criminals in the NFL. For every crime caught, there are probably 50 that go unreported. There's obviously no hard number on this.. but I bet a good percentage of NFL players are criminals in one way or another.
Basically.. if you want a sport that isn't chock full of rapists, thieves, and wife beaters, Football is not the sport for you.
I find myself having a deep dislike for many NFL players, and it has somewhat soured me on the sport.
I would tend to agree with PK.... IF we actually had any players worthy of taking the old guys down for. But who do we have? Jake Locker? The guy is a spectator just like the rest of us for the majority of the season. CJ? LOL probably the most selfish player to ever put on a Titans uniform. And he sucks now anyway, so there's that too. Wright? He's on the way up but hardly banner worthy at this point.
I do however agree with the sentiment that this team/city/fanbase tends to get way too stuck in the past. How many unwarranted years did Fisher get a pass because of his early success? And we still have many fans all over CJ's jock because of something he accomplished 5 seasons ago. And every time some ex-Titan hits the streets we of course have a large segment of the fanbase clamoring for us to re-sign him. And then there's the annual celebration of the Music City Miracle. "IT'S THE 11TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MCM!!! WHOOOHOOO!!!!" "IT'S THE 12TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MCM!!! WHOOOOO!!!" "IT'S THE 13TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MCM!!! WHOOHOOOO!!!"
Rob Bironas maybe. I mean he is our most honorable Titan these days.
