Pats To Pass On Stallworth Option

i would love for the titan to pick up both stally an barrian....than we could use our first rounder to draft something other than a WR...think DE

 

Titans will pass on Stallworth this year, atleast that's what local Nashville radio is saying. I guess the Titans didn't like the snub he gave them last year.

 

or his lack of production this year.

 

I disagree with his lack of production being a thing. Considering the competition for catches he did pretty well. Moss being over you has a mjor affect. Stalworth is not a possession receiver like Welker, he is deep threat and Moss had a monopoly on that. Even in a high flying offense like the pats, there are still only so many passes to catch. There are plaenty of concerns with Stlaworth, like his health issues in years past, but last seasons production is pure fud.

 

He was behind Gaffney at the end of the season.

 

If he's there later on and there's no other better options, I'd look close at him. I have serious doubts that we will either trade for a top WR or get one of the few who are considered "good" (Berrian, Hackett....that's it?).

We can do better, but he can offer speed and yac ability that we don't have and could use. I'd be happy with Crumpler and then spending a high pick on a WR.
