Path to the Playoffs

    ** Updated Path**

    Titans are at 7-4 and currently the 3rd seed in the playoffs. We control our own destiny to the division title heading into Dec, which is pretty good considering the last decade of football we've put up with ... but, in the case that we don't make win the Div, our Wild Card backup plan is still sitting pretty.

    Records of current non-division leaders (not including Jax since they have no bearing on potential WC scenarios) are:

    Bills (6-5) - only team on this list with a winning record. They will have a shot at one of the WC spots, but still have another game against NE on the schedule.

    Raiders (5-6) - we have a 2 game lead on them right now, which is good because they have the H2H tie breaker over us. They could cause us some trouble if they go on a streak and we drop a couple games.

    Chargers (5-6) - we have a 2 game lead, but their schedule isn't all that tough down the stretch. They could make a serious push for a spot. Good thing is they still play Raiders, Chiefs so some one will be taking some losses.

    Ravens (5-5) - we have a 2 game lead (at the moment, they play tonight) and a H2H over them. They shouldn't pose much of a problem.

    Bengals (5-6) - it's essentially a 3 game lead on them since we have the H2H as well as the 2 game advantage. At this point, I'd say Bengals pose almost no threat to knocking us out of a spot.

    Texans (4-6) - a win tonight would put them at 5-6. They have a H2H over us right now too. If we take care of business next week though, then it pretty much eliminates any risk from them taking our WC spot as we would have (at min) a 3 game lead

    We need to bench Murray and Cyp, those 2 guys are absolutely killing us right now...

    Luckily Douglas will be forced back to the bench when Matthews is healthy...

    I'll stay away from that one.

    I'm just glad it seems like someone out there is actually watching the team. We usually hear commentators gushing about Exotic Smashmouth, our unstoppable running game, and our young star QB. When in reality, the offense looks like crap and has nearly every single game this season.

    I think Tennessee is capable of beating Pittsburgh. I know we just got beat badly by them, but there were parts of that game where it was a close game but we cannot shoot our own foot and still win.

    Chargers and pats both present different problems that I'm not sure tennessee matches up well with. Key to beating both would be tons of QB pressure since both have running games that can be stopped.

    Every other team in the AFC is beatable.
