I'm not sure what to think about this... on one hand it's good he's cooperating. On the other hand, if he does know something worth testifying about - this deal is a day late and a dollar short in my book. If he had talked to begin with he might be playing in the NFL right now.

Apologies for another Pac thread, but it's news and I think we're all worn out on the VY/Norm Chow debate by now.

Wow. We may see Pac back after Denver. At this point, it seems that only the Titans will be able to keep him off the field.

This was very carefully worded. He said he would testify if called upon- he maintained he does not know the identity of the shooter. Many will undoubtedly mistake this plea arrangement as an admission of criminal knowledge.

This effectively means that the Nevada authorities have nothing on Jones in relation to the shooting.

Gross misdemeanor conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct could be applied to any group of friends seen to be fighting together in a mêlée such as happened in that strip club.

When the authorities were actively & publicly trying to pin the shooting on Jones & the two people with him he had no choice but to wait it out. The only way they'd have backed off was if he or they had come forward with information on the shooter.

Note how now that it's all come out in the wash, his so called entourage is actually only two people.

How is there a possibility that he returns this year? If anything, there is now a possibility that he will be suspended for some of next season. He was suspended before he was sentenced. Now that he is going to be sentenced, the league will have another chance to punish him.
