first, i know you post on this board more than at your own fan board because there can't possibly be very much to talk about over there...

sure, i accept the fact that an 8-8 season is "much better" than what you are used to...

Even though we went 8-8 last season? Or the fact that most of us have been a fan of a team in our OWN CITY for over 40 years whether it be the Titans or Oilers? We know how tough it is, and we know what it takes to make a very competitive team.... as we have been true NFL fans for a very long time. I love the fact that the Cardinals are in the Super Bowl. Went 6-10, 8-8, and this year 9-7 and now are in the big game. Texans 6-10, 8-8, and this year 8-8 (one win less) while playing in the tougher division and coughing up a sure win in the Rosencopter game. Not saying we are going to the Super Bowl next year by any means.... but its why the NFL is great. Any team at any time.

And feel free to come by our boards to find out for yourself... plenty of intelligent fans ready to talk real football and the majority will acknowledge the facts that the Titans are obviously the better team right now, we must get to the playoffs next year or else, Jeff Fisher is one of the best coaches in the NFL, and Dud Adams is the Antichrist,etc, etc...

this website has a criteria for behavior set forth where members are expected to be civil to a point and welcoming to outsiders, especially those that are members of other fan bases. With that being said, I'd like to remind you that we have moderation here and systems in place to motivate people to continue to be courteous or to think twice before posting something that could serve to alienate or personally offend. We like to get along with each other and we like to get along with the folks that like to drop by and talk afc south football. This is a great site with a ton of exceptional posters that are worth getting to know...

if you want to generalize us and try to assert that we are not intelligent enough to keep up a football oriented conversation what the hell are you doing here? If you want to pick apart a stat sheet and draw bogus conclusions and talk about overall records that's one thing... but don't be condescending and talk down to the majority here and imply that we are just brain dead stupid and don't know jack as your co-cheese Overalls states when he says:

the thing is pal is that the Houston fans are no better or no smarter about the game as we are. You are just being a football racist and saying such divisive things is only going to encourage some of the kids here to join Texans Talk and post ugly sentiments like what you have done here...

and I'm so disgusted with you personally, I have lost the inclination to talk Arizona Cardinals with you... or expansion drafts... or salary cap purges, or how to take a (5-11) team and turn them into a (13-3) team... there is a lot of good natured smack talk to share there... but I don't even want to know you because you judge me by the team I like and not by what I say...

and Pitbull is right... you guys do sound all the same after a while. The stuff I hear today sounds just like what I heard 3 years ago. Shape up or go home.

Oh booo hooo... this place is the king of condescension. Practically every time the Texans name comes up or a Texans fan brings up anything regarding football around here... its usually immediately shot down and we are painted as fans who simply dont know anything because we are fans of an expansion team thats basically guaranteed that we will never amount to anything. Like we can't recognize what it takes to build a winner. I mean its not like we haven't been a fan of an NFL team in our own city for decades....or live in football country for that matter.

And for the record... there are obviously plenty of intelligent football fans here. Plenty who can carry on a good football conversation...and those are always fun. And yes, there is plenty of the opposite at the Texans boards. Texans fans really have nothing against Tennessee Titans fans (tho Houston Titans fans are a disgrace) other than you are a divisional opponent. But as a general observation as a whole... its typically with the Titans fans more than anywhere else where you can see a considerable drop off... faster and deeper than most other places when trying to get actual football responses to why what when and where. Again, its an observation...although it seems others would agree.

Limit your smack to the history, performance, players, coaches and administration of my team and refrain from broad attacking statements on the membership here and we won't have any problems.

And if you have problems getting satisfactory football answers to your inquiry in the main talk forum state your arguments respectfully and credit those that raise valid points. Above all, visit often and be a familiar poster.

If you do those things the complaints you voiced will become a non-issue to you.

Gee maybe if you guys didn't come here making fun of the fact that we lost a Superbowl and lose in the playoffs from fans of a team who have NEVER been to the playoffs (or had a winning season) we wouldn't have that problem.

I've used this analogy before and I'll do it again, a virgin shouldn't make fun of someone who slept with a decent looking girl as opposed to a really attractive girl.

your team had a nice little run there at the end.. they got pretty close to hot... it's something to hang your hat on and build on next year.. it really is. Don't short change the Titans and their 13 wins, best in the league record... don't short change what our defense did... don't tell me winning the division is the same as placing 3rd.... find a little humility buddy... I respect that... that kind of arrogant rationalization is laughable.
