out of bounds because of your hair ?

    anyone catch the play where a Jaguar intercepted a pass and rolled near the sideline....his body wasn't out of bounds, but his hair was :ha:

    it was ruled that he was touched but he wasn't
    but the fellas kept discussing that had his dreadlocks been out ,so would he .... i never heard of that

    so what if your towel touches the sideline but your hair doesn't (or any other extremity) ? would your towel make you oob ?

    He was touched on his legs when he made the INT and therefore it was a down by contact.

    From nfl.com:
    (9:37) (Shotgun) 7-B.Roethlisberger pass deep right intended for 44-N.Davenport INTERCEPTED by 27-R.Mathis at PIT 47. 27-R.Mathis pushed ob at PIT 21 for 26 yards (61-S.Mahan). Pittsburgh challenged the runner was down by contact ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) 7-B.Roethlisberger pass deep right intended for 44-N.Davenport INTERCEPTED by 27-R.Mathis at PIT 47. 27-R.Mathis to PIT 46 for 1 yard (44-N.Davenport).

    Smash, the replay didn't indicate he was actually touched. I honestly believe the official said that rather than explain the whole hair thing.
