What is wrong with some people? Lowry was considered "ok", at best as a ST coach during the Fisheerr years - and that was with Fiisher actually focusing on that part while here. He was considered one of the weakest partss of the team while here. There was a good amount of "FIRE LOWRY" talk.

For example, when he got a good returner in Pacman, as someone pointed out, it was a heavily penalized unit. A few and it's tthe players, a lot and it's the coach.

Stop waxing poettic about a guy when the bulk of his tenure hasn't been that great.

Lowry should've been gone when Fisher was let go. Those two went hand-in-hand in receiving criticism in this team.

Lowry would have 2-3 GREAT plays a full season... but be mediocre-to-average the rest. Sound familiar? FISHER.

Is this current coach great? No, but aside from Reynaud, I don't feel like he's been much of a change from Lowry. Get rid of Reynaud and the Titans ST's don't get talked about negatively - or at all because they'd be rather decent. Reynaud SUCKED.

And don't give me the whole "it was his fault for having Reynaud back there" argument. No. HE wanted Mariani... but, unfortunately, he got injured. This team wasn't built around STs, so who could he get to take Mariani's place? He has, HAS, to go through the HC and Coordinators as to who he can have off one of their squads to be returner. THAT's why Munch did what he did, so the STs could have a "Return Specialist" in Reynaud. Titans were going to cut Reynaud until Mariani got injured.

That was a HC decision, not the decision of the ST coach. Take Reynaud out of the equation and the STs actually hasn't been that bad. He was just a GLARING problem - that was Munch's call, mind you.

I think you are missing the most obvious point of a special teams is to secure good field position for your team while preventing the opposing team from getting good field position. Our blocking schemes and returners this year have failed in that task. How many games this year have we been stuck on our 10 yard line or worse? Too many. We are terrible and our field position is terrible. On the other hand opposing teams are over the 30 yard line a lot, and we watch punt returners head down field like world beaters.

Our returners seem to always have one or two gunners in their face on punts and kick offs. You can't expect them to perform when they are waiting to be crushed. Our special teams effort is sadly lacking and I blame the coaching.

I just saw that the Eagles signed Brad Smith today. I forgot all about him. We should have signed this guy. This guy use to be a really good KR and I'm sure he would be a way better upgrade than who we have now.

No, I'm not missing the point... too many are simply FORGETTING the failures of Lowry during his tenure here. Titanss didn't always have good field position under him - and this was before the kick-off was moved back.

Penalties, bad blocking and bad defense on returns was par for the course during Lowry's time here.
