Probably a non-issue, because it's simpily what he knows and he's been so successful with it. His bigger issues is understanding the offense and reading the defense, not how he throws.

His throwing motion is unusual, but it is accurate, he doesnt have balls batted down, and he has a quick release. Why change it?

Yes, but the NFL is different than college in that matter - a lot of balls do get batted down, so that could become an issue down the road... but there are definitely bigger issues to worry about for now.

  6. I agree with Vince10, keep the motion

Despite what the slapdicks on TV are desperate for you to believe, the frequency of balls getting batted down is not dependent on your arm angle. NFL defensive linemen are usually 6'5". They can always get their hands up pretty high. More important is using your passing lanes and having a quick release.

For instance, Chris Simms has balls batted down in the NFL, but he had the exact same problem in college. And it aint from his lack of height or the proper arm angle.

As long as Vince is making the right reads and getting the ball out quickly and accurately I wouldn't mess too much with his delivery. Not like college DLs are all that much shorter anyway.
