Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky Over the last two weeks, the 2008 Colts have discovered a new and improved knack for winning tight games against good teams.

It's nothing they haven't been doing for years.

Keith Hawkins of ESPN Stats & Information ran some numbers for me that show Indianapolis has simply found a route back to what it's done so often since 2002.

From 2002-07, the Colts were 17-6 in games decided by three points or less. This year: 2-1.

From 2002-07, the Colts were 18-8 in games decided by four points or less. This year: 4-1.

From 2002-07, the Colts were 35-14 in games decided by four points or less. This year: 3-2.

Moral of the story: The Colts are 78-27 since 2002. They're going to have a very good record in virtually any breakdown you can come up with.
