With the 30th pick of the 2008 NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers select Tracy Porter, CB, University of Indiana.

After watching the top 5 picks at the CB spot fly off the board 11 picks higher, the Pack have had enough time to mull over whether or not Tracy Porter is worthy of a first round selection. After meditating on the numbers 4.37, 4.29, 5'10", and 188 a few times, they decide, he, after all, is.

  2. With the 32nd pick of the 2008 NFL draft, the New York Giants select Kenny Phillips, Safety, Miami (FL).

The Giants need some help in the secondary and Phillips is arguably the best defender still available.

I've sent a pm to Kid Gloves. those that participate in the 1st round I'm willing to cut some slack because they are obviously wiling to participate. If he doesn't pick in the next few hours, I'll make it for him and move on.

We do still have plenty of time. It's 1 month today to the draft, so we should have no problems getting through a couple more rounds.

Some of us were waiting for others to get their act in gear. Besides, I do have to work. :grrr:

In the future, if it looks like someone is being lax; I'll PM Carpy with a 1st, 2nd choice for my pick.
