This is the homer thread. In here we see both of those things happening!
Whoever thinks the steelers are gonna start hot are off their rocker. I expect we dominate that team first week. And that's not me being a Titan fan, or a steelers hater, just the truth. We should dominate that game damnit. They lost their top WR, top RB, roethlisburger on the decline, craaaaapppppy locker room situation last year. Their offensive coordinator is that douchebag Haley (who basically destroys whatever team he is on) .... The lost Harrison as well as James farrior...
They added Bell, Wheaton and Jones to the team but they still lack the same talent level they had. Their NT situation is horrrrible as well.
I don't know about "dominate". But yeah, I'm not too worried about the Steelers. They aren't what they used to be. And if we can get that opening week win on the road that might give us the confidence to go on a run.
Honestly, I'm not even that worried about the Texans. Schaub is not elite and Andre is getting old. If we can get our run game back to form I think we'll actually match up well with the Texans and should be able to play them very close.
Could you imagine if we start 2-0? We'll all be talking Super Bowl lol.
Lol we always play a close game against the steelers, I know. But I'm trying to instill some f'n confidence! Haha
And we stopped the texans run game last year... But we basically failed at producing points.
The entire year will settle on Lockers shoulders.
all that aside the stoolers suck anyways
Titans will open the season attempting too establish the run IMO. No better sack of nothings too do that against than the loathsome stoolers
The first play of the regular season will be a 75 yard play action bomb to Hunter!!! Lock it!
I am actually kind of glad we start against PITT. They are weaker than they were last year, we are stronger than we were last year and we beat them last year. We start off 1-0.
I seriously think CJ will also have a huge season. This will be the first time he's played behind a line like he did in 2009. Man, Levitre and Warmack are going to absolutely blow holes wide open for him. Our offense could be like it was in 2008 when we went 13-3, except with much more weapons at WR.
I also think the additions of Pollard and Wilson, our weakest position on defense has become a strength. We won't have to depend on Griffin to play strong safety anymore, he can go back to what he does best and play free safety and be more of a ball hawk.
everyone in the locker room, and most of the fans seem to be excited about this season. Lets hope they can all develop the chemistry and confidence to really shine on the field. Titans in the playoffs if all goes well!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the rookies this year. We had a great draft in my opinion.
what 'la Vagician' does best is suck arse
The problem is.. they are Pittsburgh (****tsburgh). They always seem to do things well, and rebound when bad things happen. They have one of the best head coaches in the NFL.. but I do at least have some hope because they are a diminished team. But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we lose by 21+ up there.
