An intriguing option for Ken Whisenhunt’s OC for #Titans: Chan Gailey, with John McNulty as a position coach. Gailey & Wiz vacation together

How much of the offense will be Whisenhunts? And how much John McNulty's? Because Todd Haley seemed like a putz under Whisenhunt, yet he did land a HC gig he would end up blowing.

Britt could definitely want to go to a place where he has some comfort. He put up HUGE numbers with him in college and could be the guy to get him back on track. Its a whole new system so its kinda like Britt is going to a new team anyway and I'm sure he wouldn't mind not having to move. Cant hurt to give him a small incentive deal. If he can get back to Britt of a few years ago with wright, hunter and Washington. Our WR could be top 5 in the league. With a possibly re invigorated CJ, our O could be really good.

Gailey would be an awesome hire IMO.

Britt coming back would make me cry. It's been a long time since I've disliked Titans players as much as I do the "*******".

I'm pretty sure Kenny wants out of Tennessee. He's pretty much worn out his welcome.

At least if he doesn't work out, name calling will be easy.

In all seriousness, I don't think our OC can hurt us. Unless Whiz doesn't want to call plays, than I might be concerned. Not that I know anything at all about the guy. He has been on some bad teams recently.

One name has emerged as a potential offensive coordinator under new coach Ken Whisenhunt: John McNulty.

McNulty served as quarterbacks coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. He remains under contract with the team following the firing of Greg Schiano, but Tampa Bay is expected to release him to sign elsewhere.

McNulty was potentially in line to take over at coordinator at Tampa Bay before Schiano was relieved of his duties.

McNulty has a history with Whisenhunt. He worked as receivers coach with the Arizona Cardinals from 2009-2011 before being hired as quarterbacks coach in 2012. One of his star pupils was Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

McNulty came to Arizona after working five seasons at Rutgers, where he coached receiver Kenny Britt. He also previously worked in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars (1998-2002) and Dallas Cowboys (2003).

Not sure I love it. He coached some awful quarterbacks in Arizona. But he also should maybe get some credit for Mike Glennon's surprising success in Tampa this year.
