    Going by memory here...

Bud let the coodinator's contract expire. In the process of getting a new deal in place, he was offered a boatload to go to the Jets. With the eventual cap purge ahead and the chance to shorten the road to a HC job in a big market, he took the job.

But I seem to also remember that Fisher was never asked by Edwards to talk to Chow though technically, Dinger wasn't under contract. But stuff like that tends to turn Fisher sour. He'll loyal to his staff to a fault (which makes the Chow firing a little strange). He expects the same in return. He pretty much let Steckel go just for talking to the Bucs about the OC job.

I don't know if Fisher would target Dinger or if Dinger would be willing to make a lateral move. He and McNair didn't mix well even if it was his best season (the MVP year). I don't know how Young would relate to Dinger but I bet he makes a call to "Pops" to get the lowdown.

I thought I heard Dinger liked to scream and yell at the players.
Not sure how V "nobody can't tell me nothing" Y would respond to that...

    Just a quick edit:

Dinger isn't the OC at the Broncos. He's an assistant head coach/QB coach.

Returning here may be appealing if Fisher wants him.

All I have to say is that losing in the playoffs may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

I'd like to see Heimerdinger come back to see if lightning can strike twice. He coached the best offense we've had since the team has been in Tennessee.

Shula actually wouldn't be bad, as a QB coach anyway. I don't know where you get that about Garrard. Garrard went from being Captain Turnover to one of the most efficient QB's in the league. We have Captain Turnover now.

  9. Norm Chow had a grudge with Vince Young and the Titans. He wanted Matt Leinrat and we all know that. For some reason he didn't get along with VY and maybe that is why Vince Young didn't do so well.

Jeff Fisher--So, Norm how did you think Vy did this year?
Norm- Coach he sucked and always will suck, I ruined him... muahhhahah
    Jeff-What did you say?
Norm--I said, I wanted Matt and screw you
    Jeff--Your Fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Garrard was Ok at avoiding turinovers last year. Compared to 10 TDs he had 9INTs and 4 fumbles (of which 2 were lost). He was under more pressure last year (the sack totals are about the same with 2 less games).
