I wonder if he pissed off Fsher, a la Steckel interviewing for a job without telling Fisher.

It isn't normally Fisher's MO to just fire an assistant coach for failures on the field.

Hire Billick! He's an offensive genius...:bricks:

Rather do it early than late. Changes needed to be made. We'll see who we bring in.

This is a good move. For whatever reason- his offensive unit clearly wasn't getting it done.

Who knows? Maybe they are just giving him the oppurtunity to take the Hawaii job?

I for one don't blame Chow. Our WRs sucked *** this year. If we could have picked up a Chambers or Moss, Chow's offense would have been much improved. instead we have aging Moulds. Look at how bad the Chargers O was until they got Chambers. That could have been the Titans O.

No, Hawaii is hiring someone else. And they wouldn't fire him if that were the case, they would just announce that he was taking a job elsewhere.

    That seems a bit uncharitable.

Yes, I remember the wonderlic score.

Yes, I know he isn't the most eloquent spokesman.

Yes, I know he doesn't always exercise exceptional judgment on the field.

But I've seen him say and do the right thing enough times over the last five years to believe Vince Young is extremely bright and capable.

If anything, the offense Chow ran last year was too simple, too conservative, too restraining.

Texas made the same mistake in 2003. Vince didn't thrive until he was trusted, the play book was opened up and he was turned loose.

The Titans need somebody who can trust Vince.

Someone remind me of what Billy Volek said??

Something along the lines of "Norm, your offense sucks and no one will ever succeed in it."

And then he was ran out of town by Fisher for being "whiny".

Two years later, Norm is fired.
