I think you have to look at Aliens in the following way. They are probably a lot like other species. They eat when they are hungry. They do not eat every second of every day. If you happen to be in their space when they are hungry, you are a potential meal. And that's pretty much it. It seems to me that War is usually within a species, not between them. So we are more likely to be eaten then be annilihated. But like I said, those moments are few and far between.

You don't see Antelope developing WMDs to stop those Lions.

 

I said within a species. Let's clear that up. And yes, they do war, watch the meercats on animal planet. There are constant turf wars within the same species. We are not that abnormal.

 

Not true. Animals fight other tribes of the same animals for dominance.

We are just the only ones who developed weapons...
