Beat writer Jim Wyatt recently released this article predicting no 1000-yard rusher for the 2014 Titans.

Either Wyatt is sleeping on our RB's or he thinks we'll lean more on passing than in the past.

    Thoughts....

In his 10 years as a coordinator or Head coach he has only had five 1,000 yard rushers. One year Beanie Wells barely made it with 1,047 yards.

I think his system is partly to blame for this but he also hasn't had too many great Rb's.

Didn't read the article. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have a 1,000 rusher. Although not because I think they'll suck or we're necessarily going to be pass-heavy. But rather because we (hopefully) have 3 pretty good backs and they're all going to get a lot of opportunities.

If Greene is healthy all season, we probably won't have a 1000 yard rusher. He and Sankey would probably end up around 800 each... Sankey should have more total yards though.

I can see that. And I'll be fine with it. Split the load between our trio. Keep them all healthy and fresh for our playoff run!

I would not be surprised if we don't have a 1000 yd rusher ... And honestly I think the ideal scenario for Wiz is that we don't. If all 3 of our backs stay healthy this year, then I think we see a lot of rotation. Probably with Greene getting the bulk of the carries early and transitioning to Sankey as the year moves along.

Then you have DMC taking carries as well ... really would not be surprised to not see a 1000 yd rusher this year.

We might have 2000+ yards combined from all 3 RBs though. We can move on from CJ2k and have SGBSDMC2k

I can live without any stat outside of lots W's.
Whiz comes from The Steelers school, who always seemed to win championships when The Bus had lesser yards in a season.
Predictably feeding one guy the ball 2 out of every 3 plays is a failed approach for The Titans.

Sankey will hit a 1,000. I'm not a believer that we're truly going to split carries between Shonn Greene who isn't exactly a great RB and another guy who has barely touched the ball at the position the last couple of years.

Sankey will get more than half, Greene will become the short yardage/goal line as the season goes on, and Dex is good for a few touches all over the field a game.
