Everyone talks about Mexico and England...

What about markets like San Antonio or Oklahoma.

Football in Texas will always sell tickets...

You couldn't have them both, but these areas have a ton of people. Probably San Antonio would get the nod.

Florida has 3 NFL teams.. but Texas only has 2?

Then Raiders move to LV - Chargers move then an expansion team comes in to fill that market/and or the Oakland area

Teams are getting pretty crowded at that point... but I'd argue that you'd have more rivalry games with teams being closer together.

Atlanta is a 30 min shorter drive than Indy is from Nashville. Falcons Titans rivalry should be a thing.

England makes way more sense than Mexico because of the time difference. That's just another time slot the NFL can use to attract more viewers.

i think one of the coolest things about the NFL is that you can go visit any stadium in the league... Even if you're in Green Bay on a random Tuesday, you can drive by the stadium.

Not a lot of common, everyday Americans are going to fly to England - I wonder about the rivalry factor. Could the Titans and Colts have a true rivalry if the Colts played in Hawaii? Maybe.. I don't know.

England will have no problem bringing people in... It might be the biggest home field advantage in the league. Why would any one in England like any other team from the USA?

Then theres the old unwritten rule of the NFL not being played in cities where sports betting is legal. I guess that rule got thrown out at some point. Sports betting all over London. You can barely walk a block without seeing a Ladbrokes or Will Hill sports book and mini casino

^ Yeah, but if they are about to move a team to Las Vegas which may be likely, then the gambling problem is going to exist no matter what.

Let's not kid ourselves, #3 is the main reason.

    1. At this point in the year, a lot of teams are .500 or under and there hasn't been much of a shift outside Carolina being pretty bad this year when it comes to the top teams.

    2. Not the first year the economy has been bad in the Goodell era.

    4. Same every year at this time.

    5. There are hardly ever any outside the annual Super Bowl rematch early in the season every year.

    6. This fluctuates but you can argue the Cowboys starting 2 rookies at key positions makes up for it this year.

    7. Same every year.

My guess is that Manning is gone. Brady was gone until recently.

Those two were THE NFL Quarterbacks. And nobody is even close. Rodgers/Brees are good but not even close, and their careers are not far from over. NFL needs some players to step up, quickly.
Even when Manning sucked, he still drew interest.

Not to mention the constant scandals, and the long, slow, commercial/replay/challenge riddled games.
It's certainly not as interesting to me as it was 10 years ago.

The only transcendent story for the NFL this year is Kaepernick, and he sucks. Not great for the NFL.

They are also talking about 18 games. Preseason has run its course. Nobody even cares anymore. I personally hate our division. When we played the Browns, Bengals, Steelers and Ravens all the time we had great rivalries. Then we move to a new division and Indy owned it for several years, which made things worse.
